Hello everyone!

It’s been a while since I’ve wrote, it’s been so busy these past two months! I hope all of the families had a good Easter and all of the mothers, a good mother’s day. It’s so relieving that it has finally been nice weather for us to play! Our team has been working hard with 2-4 practices a week and usually a game in between.

Our team has been working hard and competing. Last Tuesday we played the CFC United u18’s and won 3-2. We controlled most of the rhythm of the game and found much success up top. It was definitely a fun game to play. After, on Saturday we played PDA and I think it was definitely a learning experience for us all. The score was not in our favor and I think collectively as a team, we realize that there has to be more work put in to compete at that level. I enjoy working hard with my team but now it’s definitely time for us to compete, as well as get the results!

Many of the players on our team have been able to play with the u18’s when they need help due to injuries (and vice versa). Its fun to see the teams integrate and play together; you would never know that we usually don’t play together. All in all, I am continuing to enjoy my time with my team!

I hope everyone else’s seasons are going well and check in soon!

Jamie

Hello everyone! After getting back from Texas we recovered on Monday. Then got back into training that Tuesday and Wednesday with a video session on Thursday. We had to immediately start preparing for the Scorpion Bowl Tournament on Saturday.

We started off our weekend really well with a win against the FC Stars! They are a very highly ranked ECNL team. That was a great win for our team. We had back to back games that night so right after we played SouthCentral. We also won against them which was a great win!

At the hotel we got back and got to watch UCONN win against Syracuse!! Also got to hang out in the big restaurant at the Embassy Suites.

The next day we played the Scorpions (another ECNL team) but lost 2-1. Our team continued to struggle with the next game against the Aztecs which we tied 0-0. Although we had a rough time playing on Sunday, Saturday we definitely proved ourselves as a strong competitive team.

I love being with my team again and continuing to play with them. It helps that the weather is starting to warm up too! This weekend we get a break and get to train all week. I hope everything is going well with our SoccerPlus family!

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying the end (hopefully) of this brutal winter! Our team got to go to Mohegan Sun to demonstrate for the Coaches clinic. It was a good time to be together and help the club out.

We practiced in the snow, and the frigid early Sunday and Saturday mornings. Our team worked hard through those practices and tried to get as much as we could out of them. At the time it was hard to get through, but looking back it was so worth it since we just got back from the warm Texas! It was a beautiful weekend for playing soccer! Our results weren't what we had hoped for but each game we improved and did better. It was so nice to finally play in good warm weather, and not have to wear an underarmour! We all got to spend a lot of time together and went to the River Walk. It was really fun to finally fly somewhere with my team and be with them.

This weekend we are gearing up for the Scorpion Bowl. We will play four games and are looking to improve even more from Texas, (and get the results). I'm excited to continue to play with my lovely SoccerPlus Eagles and play well too!

Good Job to all the teams that went to Texas and good luck this weekend to all the other teams!!!

Hello all!

Well it seems the snow has finally stopped. We finally got back together as a team last Sunday Feb 6 at the Wheaton Futsal tournament. Our team was split up into two teams (red and white). I think we both played very well but yet, could be improved by a lot. We had a lot of fun and it was so good to finally be back together training!. The competition was really good and we played mostly older teams, it was challenging but also rewarding to be challenged. The red team played four games (fourth game=semi final) and the white team played three games. We both lost to a college team but it was good to play against them and get the experience of the level we soon will be playing at!

I think I can speak for everyone on our team and say that we're definitely ready to be back on a regular training schedule and to do away with all of this snow! We go to Texas soon and I couldn't be more excited to get away with my team, hopefully it will be warm there! If it isn't though, I'm sure we will still have a blast anyways.

After these next weeks I'll have a lot more to update on because if all goes well, we will be training together on a regular schedule. I hope everything is going well for the rest of the SoccerPlus family!

Update you more soon!

Hello everyone!

So the last time I wrote this we were just getting back together as a team. Well, we've done a lot together since then. On Mondays and Wednesdays we had running practice together as a team. At times the drills were very difficult, but I think it brought us all closer together because we encouraged each other to get through it. We even got to know some of the U15's (who are awesome) because we had it at the same time as them. It's good getting back into the swing of thing with soccer and my team.

This week we're going to start getting outside to practice. I just hope we don't lose some of our smaller players in the snow! ha ha just kidding of coarse. It will be good to finally get outside again and prepare for our trip to Texas. I'm really excited because it will be my first plane ride with all of the girls and second ECNL trip. I just hope that it's warm down there! I can't wait to keep practicing with my team as well as doing goalkeeping with Shawn! I hope to keep improving on my own as well as with my team!

I will keep updating when more exciting stuff is happening!!

Stay warm! :)

Hello again! I hope everyone had a good holiday! It was great to spend Christmas at home this year and not in a hospital like last year. My family had a very nice and relaxed Christmas which I think was well deserved. As for the winter break from soccer I absolutely missed my team so much. I think we can all say that we were happy to get back together.

Our first practice together since the beginning of Dec. was on Sunday. It was good to see my team again and play soccer with them finally! We started off with a regular practice and then on Monday we had a running practice. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say we are ALL sore! ha ha! After about a bajillion squats I think we were all dead. These next two months will be hard work for us, but I'm positive it will pay off at our next Showcase in Texas.

I am really excited to see what this season holds for our team and look forward to continuing to play with them more!

Hope everyone else's winter break went well and are enjoying getting back into the swing of SoccerPlus soccer!

Hello SoccerPlus!! It's so great to be back playing for my club team. I missed everyone so much. My team, U17 Eagles are just as fun and loud as when I left them! It's awesome to be playing with them again and getting to know the new players who have been a very good asset to our team.

As we all finished up our High School teams I'm pretty sure we were all looking forward to getting back together as a team. We bundled up for the November cold and started our first tournament in NEWSS. We drank more hot cocoa and ate more Panera bread in that short weekend than I think we have in our lives.

The weekend after NEWSS we headed down to North Carolina for the CASL showcase. The first game was actually a nice temperature to play soccer in. We went to the Notre Dame vs. Ohio State Game and one of our players Julia Cipriano helped the Notre Dame Leprechaun cheer with a sign and run around crazy with him. The second day the game started out with a nice temperature, then we were surprised with the gift of a snow storm halfway through the first half! At the end of the game you couldn't even see the lines because of the snow! We all got on our Coach Bus and all we could do was laugh at how ridiculous that was. Unfortunately our third game was canceled due to snow and we headed off on our 10 hour ride home full of Uno, Movies, and Catchphrase, and of coarse, plenty of sleeping time.

I am looking forward to getting back with my team after the winter break and heading off to more showcases. I've already have had so much fun with them in the short 2 months we've been together!
